I am a girl who grew up reading anything and everything I could lay my hands on. In childhood, I used to dream about becoming a writer but life had different plans for me. I lost sight of who I really want to be in high school and like most of my friends ended up doing Bachelors in Computer Science. During undergrad, I found myself often wondering am I doing the right thing? Am I suitable for this? Sometimes you need to keep going to find the answers.

In the senior year of undergrad when I was still in uncertainty, a friend of mine introduced me to the world of data science. Out of curiosity, I started doing Machine Learning course by Professor Andrew Ng. It caught me by surprise. After a very long time, I felt the excitement in me to do something. I wanted to explore the field, learn more about it so I applied for Masters in Computer Science with data science emphasis.

I graduated from University of Colorado, Denver in May, 2020 during peak covid, facing a difficult job market. I continued my learning and up skilling, landing an internship as a 'Data Scientist'. I learned a lot in that role that helped me eventually find my current job as 'AI Machine Learning Scientist' working on exciting projects simplifying healthcare for people in a wonderful team!
